When a struggling, emotionally dysregulated child is unable to maintain in the family, school, and community, a nurturing, family-like atmosphere can be the best setting for stabilization and treatment. The Cottage Supervisor I insures the philosophical, operational and treatment integrity in managing personnel, creating a therapeutic milieu and meeting each child's treatment needs in the cottage. In collaboration with other Core Team members, the Cottage Supervisor I assumes a leadership role in integrating, overseeing, planning and evaluating each child's treatment progress and directs treatment implementation in the milieu to insure the overall wellbeing of children. The Cottage Supervisor I works closely with a variety of agency personnel and community professionals in meeting program and operational needs.
The Cottage Supervisor I is responsible for the development and maintenance of a positive and cohesive treatment team in an atmosphere of trust and security. This position interviews, orients, trains, schedules, supervises, evaluates, promotes, disciplines and recommends discharge of supervisees. This position insures staff and cottage compliance with agency standards and policies in maintaining inventories, records, food preparation and storage, cleaning, maintenance, infection control, health care, communication, confidentiality, safety and finances.
As an active participant and leader of a self-directed team, the Cottage Supervisor I seeks responsibility and models initiative, cooperation and group problem solving in fulfilling the team mission and holds others accountable for the same.
The above knowledge, skills and abilities are typically acquired through graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in a social science or closely-related field with four (4) or more years of relevant experience.
Position is full-time. Salary DOE, Starting Wage is $50,000. Intermountain offers excellent benefits, including health insurance, pension, generous personal leave, and holidays.
