There's snow place like home! The DREAM Adaptive Recreation Annual Snow Ball fundraiser will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., March 5th in a virtual format. Even though we can’t gather together in person, we still have a great live-streamed program hosted by MC Janice Lake and Auctioneer Bobby Roshon. The event will include online silent and live auctions, local musicians Big Sky City Lights, participant stories, guest speakers, and a Raise your Paddle opportunity. Register for the FREE event at: http://www.dreamadaptive.org/events/snowball/ Funds from last year’s Snow Ball made quite an impact by creating nearly 1,500 opportunities for adaptive athletes in a variety of sports: alpine skiing and snowboarding, Nordic skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, motorized watersports, interpretive trail walks in Glacier National Park, rafting and so much more. The Raise your Paddle also funded a long-overdue program truck; as demand for our programs increases so does our need. Over the past ten months, people have flocked into the great outdoors like never before to combat the effects of quarantine and social isolation. There wasn’t a bike, board, or paddle left in stock. Individuals with disabilities often experience isolation even in a non-pandemic climate. They have the same desire to connect with others and the natural world around them but it’s often not that easy. That’s where we come in! Now more than ever your support is vital for us to continue our empowering and inclusive services. This past year alone we provided more program days than ever before; considering the pandemic we kept group sizes small and found creative ways to meet the growing need for our services. Please support our mission by registering for the 2021 Snow Ball. This greatly anticipated event provides roughly one-third of DREAM’s operating funds while extending great community awareness for our organization. Join us to ensure everyone has access to the many benefits of outdoor recreation!
