    Diane Volkman, NCTM, will present a program titled "Your Brain on Music."
     
    Formal music lessons have positive impacts on our brains.
     
    How do music teachers incorporate these understandings and teach their students with the brain in mind? What musical skills can be enhanced and addressed to strengthen of the student's neural networks? How can we bring awareness to our students regarding the benefit of participating in the making of music and its effect on our brains? These questions and more will be discussed during the presentation.
