My name is Amy Haught and I founded IICA Speech! Here’s a bit about our history and my passion.
Born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio, I was lucky to have one of the best speech and language programs in my hometown! I graduated with a BS in Communication Disorders and then my MA in Speech Pathology with a minor in Audiology at the University of Cincinnati in 1995 after receiving a full academic scholarship.
Before moving to the Bay Area, I started my career by working at 2 non-profit agencies (1 full time and 1 part time) in Cincinnati. My full time position in a United Way agency focused on serving pre-school children with special needs emphasizing intensive parent training and a language immersion classroom. My part time job was at Easter Seals serving school aged children in a summer speech program.
I have been in private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1996. I received amazing training at The Morgan Center where I began specializing in Autism Spectrum and other relationship disorders.
Over the years, I’ve been blessed to be able to provide direct treatment, consultations and workshops to families and professionals in the US and Philippines regarding treatment of ASD. Other volunteer work I’ve enjoyed was participating with Angels on Stage as a behavioral consultant.
