    Kalispell Regional Healthcare includes North Valley Hospital in Whitefish and Kalispell Regional Medical Center, in addition to Montana Children’s, a brand new children’s medical facility in Kalispell. The system also has clinics in Eureka, Polson, and Columbia Falls

     

  • North Valley Hospital

    North Valley Hospital  is at the south end of Whitefish, and features a 24/7 emergency department and seven board certified emergency medicine physicians. North Valley Hospital offers a wide range of hospital based in-patient and outpatient services including laboratory and imaging services, minimally invasive robotic and orthopedic surgery, infusion services, and a birth center. North Valley Hospital offers advanced technologies including DaVinci and Mako robots for robotic surgery, 3D mammography, and infusion services.

    The beautifully designed hospital facility and outreach clinics are known throughout the valley for the unique Planetree philosophy of patient-centered care—an approach that strives to demystify, humanize and personalize the healthcare experience for patients in a healing environment. The Planetree philosophy is evident in everything from the comfortable, welcoming feel of the building design to the compassionate care of employees in all departments at the hospital.

    North Valley Hospital is a Baby Friendly Hospital as certified by Baby Friendly USA and administered by the World Health Organization, which recognizes the facility’s emphasis on infant breastfeeding and keeping families together during childbirth. The Birth Center at North Valley Hospital is a flagship service where highly trained staff welcome an average of 550 new babies every year. In addition to the hospital, North Valley operates two seasonal urgent care clinics to serve residents and visitors alike—the Base Lodge Clinic at Whitefish Mountain Resort (open during ski season), and West Glacier Clinic (open from Memorial Day through Labor Day). There are also primary care clinics in Columbia Falls at the North Valley Professional Center, Eureka Healthcare Primary Care in Eureka, and a behavioral health clinic in Whitefish at North Valley Behavioral Health.

    Kalispell Regional Healthcare At KRMC, a comprehensive inventory of sophisticated diagnostics and treatment techniques is matched by equally specialized, highly-skilled professionals whose experience is respected throughout the area and the nation. KRMC is part of Kalispell Regional Healthcare, the most comprehensive collection of health care services in Northwest Montana.

    In addition to KRMC, other members of the Kalispell Regional Healthcare family include North Valley Hospital, Brendan House, The Summit Medical Fitness Center and Montana Children’s. Montana Children’s, an outstanding new facility on the Kalispell Regional Healthcare campus, provides access to high-quality pediatric specialty care in the Flathead Valley, including the largest group of North Valley Hospital Emergency Department Physicians fellowship-trained pediatric specialists in the state. The facility includes a 12 bed pediatric unit, a six bed pediatric intensive care unit, and a 12 bed neonatal intensive care unit.

    In addition, Kalispell Regional Healthcare’s Advanced Life-support and Emergency Rescue Team (ALERT) provides our community with the ability to respond to a diverse range of emergency medical situations. Utilizing a Bell 407 helicopter with pilot, nurse, and medic, ALERT has a 350-mile range, and handles approximately 345 emergency transports per year. With more than 15,000 flights under its belt, the program serves the state of Montana from Cut Bank to Libby and Eureka to Ronan. ALERT is one of the few hospital-operated emergency air transports in the country. From search and rescue missions to emergency retrievals in remote areas, ALERT is committed to serving the community and its visitors.

    There are many options available for those who want to work less and play more… but still have all the services they need to stay in good health during retirement. There are several senior living apartments/ condominium options in the Whitefish area, as well as assisted living options and nursing homes. The Whitefish Community Center is the base for congregate meals and Meals on Wheels deliveries for the Whitefish area, and offers an array of exercise, social and health screening activities. The Wave Aquatic and Fitness Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the Whitefish community. Built by volunteers with mostly private funds raised right here in Whitefish, The Wave includes an Aquatics Center which features three different pools, a Jacuzzi, sauna, and steam rooms. In the Fitness Center where you’ll find top of the line equipment, first class free weights, weight machines, and a wide array of

Built by volunteers with mostly private funds raised right here in Whitefish, The Wave includes an Aquatics Center which features three different pools, a Jacuzzi, sauna, and steam rooms. In the Fitness Center where you’ll find top of the line equipment, first class free weights, weight machines, and a wide array of cardiovascular equipment. 

  • S.N.O.W. Bus 

    The Big Mountain Commercial Association is a non-profit public trade association that raises funds to pay for common services and programs.

    These include funding for the S.N.O.W. Bus, a free shuttle service between Whitefish and Whitefish Mountain Resort. The S.N.O.W. Bus has been a staple of our community for over 20 years.
