  • North Valley Hospital

    North Valley Hospital first opened its doors in Whitefish in 1905, and the hospital has provided cutting-edge technology and top-quality healthcare to Northwest Montana ever since.  From top-to-bottom, the staff at North Valley Hospital – from physicians, surgeons, nurses, technicians and support staff all the way up to the CEO –  are committed to providing superior patient care … and they’re doing it.

    The hospital’s Imaging Department is equipped with digital mammography, CAT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound and X-Ray; the surgical suites are fully equipped for general, gynecological, breast, urological, orthopedic, cosmetic, reconstructive and endoscopic surgeries; and North Valley Hospital’s Birth Center is the only facility in the Northern Rockies that offers a water birth option – a safe, effective method of reducing pain during labor that’s more relaxing for mom and newborn.

    North Valley Hospital has 25 in-patient beds and a full Emergency Care Department, and the NVH “family” has grown to 43 active physicians, 67 courtesy/consulting physicians, and 30 Allied Health Professionals. In addition to the hospital/medical office complex in town, North Valley operates a pair of seasonal “urgent care clinics” to serve the needs of our active population – the Base Lodge Clinic at Whitefish Mountain Resort (December thru April), and West Glacier Clinic (Memorial Day thru Labor Day).  North Valley Hospital is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit community-based critical access hospital, and adheres to the Planetree patient-centered care philosophy.


  • Kalispell Regional Healthcare

    Kalispell Regional Healthcare is comprised of three acute-care hospitals (The Health Center, Kalispell Regional Medical Center and North Valley Hospital), several skilled nursing facilities, multiple fitness facilities, a mental health facility, a substance abuse facility, and more than 30 primary and specialty care physician clinics. Located in the heart of Kalispell, Kalispell Regional Medical Center has been consistently expanding specialty care, including a recent $64 million of new construction for Montana Children’s Medical Center, the Digestive Health Institute, and expansion of the Emergency Department. Core health services in the Flathead Valley consists of cancer, cardiovascular, emergency care, family health, neuroscience and spine care, orthopedics, pediatrics, prevention and wellness, gastrointestinal, and surgery.

  • Well-Being

    There are many options available for those who want to work less and play more … but still have all the services they need to stay in good health during retirement.  There are several senior living apartments/condominium options in the Whitefish area, as well as assisted living options and nursing homes.  The Whitefish Community Center is the base for congregate meals and Meals on Wheels deliveries for the Whitefish area, and offers an array of exercise, social and health screening activities.

    The Wave Aquatic and Fitness Center  is a non-profit organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the Whitefish community. Facilities at The Wave include an Aquatics Center which features three different pools, a Jacuzzi, sauna, and steam rooms.  In the Fitness Center where you’ll find top of the line equipment, first class free weights, weight machines, and a wide array of cardiovascular equipment.  Built by volunteers with mostly private funds raised right here in Whitefish, The Wave opened in 2005, and is one of the largest facility of its kind in Northwest Montana.
